$1,000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS• Position Summary The Intake Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and supervision of domestic violence walk-in and hotline services. This position manages client entry into Family Wellness Programs including initial intake, crisis intervention, domestic violence counseling, and advocacy. The Intake Coordinator works closely with the Manager of Case Management Services to meet all contractual goals through preparation and submission of all required reporting and documentation for hotline and walk-in staff. This position works at Congreso’s main office and on the Program’s 24-hour crisis hotline and is an essential employee position that may require duties to be performed, onsite and/or remotely, during unanticipated agency closures when the 24-hour crisis hotline is required to be staffed. The Intake Coordinator has access to sensitive Congreso information and is expected to handle such information with integrity and professionalism. This position reports to the Manager of Case Management Services . This is an onsite position. The Intake Coordinator applies the principles of the organization’s signature service delivery approach, Primary Client Model (PCM™), by promoting a positive employee/client-focused experience that is appreciative of the unique strengths, values and needs that each individual brings; and by using data to inform and drive decision making. Direct Client Services Conducts initial client intake, including, but not limited to, agreements to services, needs assessments, and the mutual development of a service plans. Provides coordination of on-going crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, and resources and referrals to a specific number of clients as determined by the agency and funding source. Complies with all client confidentiality regulations as specified by agency, funding source, local, state and federal regulations. Maintains accurate and up to date client files and documentation. Submits monthly and quarterly programmatic narrative and statistical reports to supervisor as instructed. Attends and participates in continuing education related to PCM™, which include active participation in quality circles and the maintenance of work according to the data established requirements. Provides presentations to community members to help victims of crime and their families to identify their own victimization and learn about and access available services in the community. Contract Compliance Is responsible for contract compliance through maintaining a specified number of domestic violence clients as specified by the agency and funding source and ensures compliance with all program objectives contractually outlined in program work plans. Attends workshops and conferences for the purpose of updating counseling techniques, developing resources, and researching best practices for hotline staff and then transferring new knowledge to supervisees. Completes other projects as assigned by Program Manager, including but not limited to: research initiatives, programmatic support, and representing the interests of Congreso and the Latina Domestic Violence Program in both internal and external meetings and committees. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the community needs and demographics. Ability to understand, acknowledge, and assess client needs to provide a timely, trauma informed approach in service. Ensures the appropriate handling of sensitive information and understanding for issues such as confidentiality, domestic abuse, child abuse, and mandated reporter requirements. Adheres to all Congreso, departmental, programmatic, and security policies, procedures, and guidelines. Attends all Congreso trainings and in-services as required, including relevant professional groups to maintain professional, requisite knowledge and licensure. Attends, participates, and facilitates relevant staff meetings to promote communication and execution of goals. Ability to effectively use standard office equipment, including a variety of common software programs such as Office365, UNIDAD, and other customized databases. Follows through on assignments, works in a timely manner, within established deadlines, and completes special projects specific to the function of the department, as needed or as directed by supervisor. Demonstrates ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups, in a compassionate, courteous, and respectful manner that fosters an inclusive environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills including effective and respectful communication with individuals and groups. Bilingual (Spanish/English) written and verbal skills required .

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position supervises the Full-Time Crisis Intervention Specialist and Part-Time Hotline Advocates .

Minimum Experience, Education, and Qualifications Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in counseling, psychology, social work or related field. A combination of education and at least 5 years crisis counseling experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

Minimum Experience:

3 years’ work experience in crisis counseling and client advocacy; specific domestic violence counseling experience is a plus. Some supervisory experience is a plus.

Certification/License:

+40-hour Domestic Violence training certificate from an approved PCADV training program required and may be completed post hire. Completion of PCCD foundational academy for victim advocates required and may be completed post hire. Mandated Reporter and Supporting Children and Families with Disabilities training certificate required and may be completed post-hire.
