Essential Functions:
Assess and license foster/kinship/adoptive families who can provide a nurturing and safe environment for children. Make determinations regarding the approval or rejection of foster/kinship/adoptive home applicants.
Schedule and conduct preliminary home study of prospective foster/kinship/adoptive parents.
Schedule and conduct pre-service training for potential foster/kinship/adoptive parents.
Assure that foster/kinship/adoptive home records are in compliance with state regulations, contract requirements, Council of Accreditation (COA) requirements, and The Bair Foundation policies and procedures.
Approve on-going training for certified foster/kinship/adoptive parents.
Perform and arrange foster/kinship/adoptive home care re-certifications as required by state regulations, contract requirements, COA requirements, and The Bair Foundation policies and procedures, if applicable.
Ensure budgeted child placement goals are met thru building and maintain positive relationship with referral sources and recruiting of families.
Responsible for the referral process for child placement from beginning to end.
Make appropriate matches and place children.
Network with referral sources to increase placements.
Become proficient in The Bair Foundation’s model of care.
Supervision of a recruiter, if necessary.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field.
