Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented person to join our healthcare team. This role is akin to being an air traffic controller in a clinic setting, requiring someone who enjoys interacting with people and can effectively and efficiently manages people and schedules.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating and managing patient flow throughout the clinic. Collaborating, communicating, and guiding physicians, technologists, and other staff to facilitate timely patient flow. Maintaining and accurately updating clinic EMR information, including appointment schedules, patient paperwork, patient films, medical records, tracking sheets, discs, etc. Greeting patients and guiding them from one area to another as necessary. Assisting patients with any needs or concerns they may have. Assisting physicians and technologists throughout the day as needed or requested. Managing patients and patient wait times throughout the clinic. Practicing extreme diligence and detail in knowing where patients are and assisting them or the physicians in a timely manner. Requesting orders as needed throughout the day. Communicating equipment problems, maintenance issues, and other building or clinic concerns to the Operations Manager. Qualifications required to be a Clinical Flow Coordinator include: Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn how to use software programs. Ability to handle confidential situations. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional and calm manner. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment.
Preferred qualifications include:
1 year of experience in a clinical healthcare environment. Knowledge of HIPAA.
