Job Description
Responsible for greeting patients; check-in, check-out, scheduling and managing telephones and messages.
Collects and posts co-pays, deductibles and past due patient balances at the time of service.
Reports to:
Market Practice ManagerFLSA:
Non-exemptChecks patients in and completes the intake process to include insurance verification and updatingdemographic information.
Collects appropriate co-pays and communicates any financial liability to the patient.
Organizes and sets up appointments for some of the providers as needed. Follows up on special functionneeds.
Performs electronic chart pre-load process. Also scans documents to the patient electronic chart.
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Skills:
Promotes a team-oriented atmosphere and takes initiative in maintaining a tidy and safe clinical environment
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross•
PreferredMinimum Work Experience:
One year experience in a medical clinic; preferably in Family Practice or Specialty Clinic
