Full Job Description Overview:

As an Admissions Coordinator at a national behavioral health provider, you will play a vital role in guiding individuals and their families through the admissions process. Previous experience qualifying or fronting behavioral health admissions calls is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
Assessment and Intake:

Conduct initial screenings and assessments to evaluate potential clients’ needs and determine eligibility for admission into our program.

Admissions Guidance:

Provide information and guidance to prospective clients and their families regarding treatment options, program details, financial obligations, and insurance coverage.

Coordination:

Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and insurance providers to facilitate admissions and ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to admissions, addressing questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Support:

Offer emotional support and encouragement to individuals and families navigating the admissions process, demonstrating understanding and empathy for their unique situations.

Follow-up:

Maintain regular communication with clients and their families throughout the admissions process, providing updates and addressing any additional needs or concerns.

Documentation:

Duties Manage the admissions process for new patients, including collecting necessary documentation and information. Conduct insurance verification and ensure that all medical collections are processed accurately. Provide medical administrative support by coordinating with healthcare providers and staff to facilitate patient care. Utilize electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks and Dentrix to maintain accurate patient records. Assist in the management of Medicare processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Perform 10 key typing tasks to input data efficiently into the system. Maintain a high level of customer service while addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding admissions. Collaborate with medical office management to streamline processes and improve patient flow. Qualifications Previous experience in medical collection or insurance verification is preferred. Familiarity with medical administrative support functions is essential. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly eClinicalWorks and Dentrix. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Medicare policies and procedures is a plus.
