Description:

Minimumexperience required is 1 year. First-time travelers are accepted.

The patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics.

Primarily, the focus is on adult RRT but may include pediatricintubated patients. The facility is a level 2 trauma center. It isalso interventional stroke certified and has a level 3 NICU. TheNICU serves as the regional transport resource. Responsibilitiesinclude managing non-invasive ventilation and conventionalventilation. Aerosol therapy and bedside pulmonary function testsare part of the job. The role involves performing arterial linesand oxygen management. Patient education is a key component of theposition. Arterial blood gases and capillary blood gases will beperformed. The role includes drawing from lines. Floating to otherunits may be required as necessary. If one major holiday fallsduring the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.

If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, thetraveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur,the traveler is expected to work two.
