What You Will Do:
Responsible for the transport of neonates and pediatric patients from referral facilities by ground. Duties include management of mechanical ventilation, arterial canalization, endotracheal intubation and all other procedures applicable to the field of respiratory care . Performs advanced practice skills as needed and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide quality age/developmentally appropriate care.
Ads to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizingmunication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
Meets patient care standards to optimize patient oues.
Promotes a safe and supportive environment during transport for all passengers in the transport vehicle, i.e., patient, crew and drivers.
Provides respiratory therapies following age-appropriate standards of care and departmental guidelines. Performs and maintainspetency for point-of-care testing, as assigned, ensuringpliance with policies and with applicable state and federal regulations.
Completes documentation requirements for patient record and billing. s information to relief personnel to ensure continuity of care for the patient.
Provides educational enhancement to allied health practitioners.
Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
Attends all required in-services, staff meetings, and team conferences.
What You Will Need:
Graduate of an AMA approved two or four year program for respiratory care, or satisfies the requirements in the admissions policies of the NBRC for registry examinations. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), licensed to practice as an RCP in the state of Gia,
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) OR Pediatric
