RESPONSIBLE FOR
Supports the supervision of shift activities, and acts as theexpert during his or her assigned shift. Duties include dailysupport of staffing and assignments, providing resource support,supporting preceptor tasks, and fulfilling assigned patient careworkload. Serves as a role model and advocates a highly efficient,accountable and collaborative team environment between staff andwith physicians. Delivers the highest standards of patient safetyand quality of care.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
Requires an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of two years clinical experience in respiratory care.
Current BCLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required. Proficient inall patient care settings (i.e., adult
ICU, NICU
). If limited NICUexperience, able to ramp up basic skill set (i.e., deliverysupport, blood gases, equipment setup) within a definedtimeframe.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW
Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Boardfor Respiratory Care (NBRC); has and maintains a current licensureas a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia.
