JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a licensed Respiratory Therapistfor our future site in Marietta who is seeking their next excitingopportunity in a complex and ever-evolving work environment!

Initially this position will start off remote, until the siteopens. In this role, you will be responsible for assessment ofpatient/client needs for equipment and the selection, instruction,and troubleshooting of appropriate equipment and/or servicesprovided to meet those needs.

RESPONSIBILITIESTrainand assist with overall daily operations of Respiratory Therapyincluding vents, intake, coverage, and quality assurance atexisting and new locations.

Receive and document the orders forequipment and/or services from the referral source, physician,patient/client, family member, or caregiver.

Collect additionalinformation and/or authorization as needed.

Assess the needs of thepatient/client and the best choice of equipment and/or services tomeet the needs of the patients.

Involve the patient/client and/orfamily, caregiver in the selection process.

Instructpatients/clients in the proper use and care of equipment accordingto the written policies and procedures for thatequipment.

Communicate with the patient’s/client’s physician onchanges in patient’s condition and/or needs and carry outadjustment to the patient’s/client’s Plan of Care/Treatment.

Rotateto various branches to support the business and patients, asbusiness needs dictate.

Track and maintain follow up on preventativemaintenance and schedule visits for respiratory therapy equipmentassigned to clients.

Assist with scheduled visits of clientsreceiving oxygen therapy as needed.

Complete patient/client accountspaperwork, including Plan of Care/Home assessments.

Act as a liaisonbetween the company and the patient/client, family, caregiver,physician, and other healthcare agencies and staff on thecase.

Conduct, participate and attend educational meetings andseminars for healthcare workers, patients/clients, families, caregivers, physicians, and interested community members on areas ofneed.

Assist with arrangement of necessary referral to communityagencies or for those traveling, to assist in continuity ofcare.

Develop and implement discharge plans for agencypatients/clients.

Assume full responsibility for actions,professional skills, and attitudes.

Support the organization bybeing loyal and informing the branch manager of areas of concernand problems to be resolved.

Keep cognizant of third-partyreimbursement, criteria services, billing, patient/client paperworkand equipment offered.

Must be willing to work after normal businesshours and on weekends.

Oversee all clinical functions that areperformed by the company.

Perform all job functions with CompanyMission, Vision, and Goal Statements in mind.

Flexible attitude andwillingness to take on extra tasks as necessary.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

High degree ofintegrity.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Graduate of anaccredited Respiratory Care Program.

Respiratory care experienceand/or home care experience in the field of respiratorycare.

Thorough knowledge and skills related to Home MedicalEquipment field.

Ability to effectively manage all respiratoryproducts provided by the company.

Ability to recognize the needs andconcerns of people resulting in constructive workingrelationships.

People-sensitive characteristics with a genuinedesire to help others.

Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonalcommunication skills.

Excellent organizational, customer service,and time management skills.

Ability to cater to diverse customerbase.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Abilityto demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.

Must beeligible to work in the United States.

SCHEDULEThis is a full-timeposition that will require a 40-hour work week.

Hours:

Generally,8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.

This position does have an on-callrotation.

Overtime as needed.

Employment is contingent upon asatisfactory response from a Background Screening.
