Videos Duties The Mental Health Residential Rehabilition Trement Program (MH RRTP) provides residential trement for Veterans dealing with issues reled of homelessness, Domiciliary Care Homeless Veteran Program (DCHVP), Substance Use Disorders (DOM-SATP), and Posttraumic Stress Disorder (Dom PTSD). The MH RRTP Assistant Manager assists the MH RRTP Manager with a broad array of administrive and clinical aspects of the residential programs. Duties include, however, not limited to: Responsibilities include coordining interdisciplinary staffing, work assignments, trement services provided, and admission criteria of the program. Supervises employees assigned to the various residential programs. Is responsible for fund control points assigned to the MH RRTP (when applicable). Manages and controls the use of da reled to the residential program regarding day to day functioning and program evaluion. Plans, organizes and directs administrive, operional, pient and personnel activities for the service in conjunction with the MH RRTP Manager, the Deputy Chief of Mental Health Service Line, and the Chief of Mental Health Service line. Manages facets of the MH RRTP with a clinical role in the provision of direct care including trement planning, individual and group therapy as needed. Supervises a group of employees performing work various GS levels (e.g. social workers, psychologists, medical support assistants, social science specialists, program support assistants, etc.) Coordines services among other disciplines. Provides administrive, technical and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the MH RRTP including outreach efforts. Works with staff and leadership all levels to ensure access to care for Veterans while maintaining a safe and secure environment in the MH RRTP. Performs the administrive and personnel management functions relive to staff supervised and establishes guidelines and performance expections for staff, which are clearly communiced through the formal employee performance management system. Observes workers’ performance and conducts work performance critiques, as well as providing informal feedback and periodically evaluing employee performance. Persons hired or reassigned to social worker positions in the GS-0185 series in VHA must be licensed or certified by a ste to independently practice social work the master’s degree level. Program coordinors the GS-12 grade level are administrively responsible for a clinical program providing trement to Veterans in a major specialty area, such as but not limited to: Spinal Cord Injury, Homeless Continuum Veteran Program, Hospice and Palliive Care Program, Suicide Prevention Program, Veterans Justice Outreach, Caregiver Support Program and Community Nursing Home Program. The program coordinor may be the sole practitioner in this specialty the facility and typically provide direct pient care services in the program area. The program coordinor oversees the daily operion of the program, develop policies and procedures for program operion, and prepare reports and stistics for facility, VISN, and nional use. They may be responsible for the program’s budget, developing and monitoring staff compliance with practice, standards and guidelines on documention, workload, da entry, ethical practice and service delivery. The program coordinor provides analysis and evaluion of clinical program da and computerized programs to identify system-wide trends and needs to enhance the quality of service. They may be responsible for, or contribute to, the program’s resource and fiscal management, monitoring control points developing the annual budget, opering within the budget and accounting for appropried funds.
