Description:
Minimum experience of 2 years is required.
First-time travelers are accepted. Patient population includesneonates, adults, and geriatrics. Required skills include ABGinterpretation, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, flow-by, troubleshootinghigh-pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, trachcollar, high flow nasal cannula, and airway management. Floatingwithin the facility and possibly to additional campuses may berequired. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday if itfalls within their assignment period. If two major holidays occur,travelers are expected to work both. Travelers are expected to worktwo of three major holidays if three major holidays occur duringthe assignment. Full compliance is required to start on time. Ifnot compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to orientationschedule. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. A maximumof 7 days of requested time off is allowed. The weekend scheduleincludes every other weekend. Major holidays include Memorial Day,Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, ChristmasEve and Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve and Day. References fromtwo supervisory individuals are highly preferred at the time ofsubmission. Candidates must be available to submit core items andcomplete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract toensure an on-time start. Modules completed during orientation varyby specialty and are recorded via transcripts. Orientation consistsof 13 hours of non-billable time.
