Job Summary:
The Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner(RCP-R) is expected to interact with patients and their families ina caring, compassionate, considerate manner and provide care withthe highest regards for the patient’s mental, spiritual, andphysical well-being. The RCP-R is responsible for providing basicand advanced Respiratory Care services to neonatal, pediatric,adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The RCP-R performspatient assessments, develops Respiratory Care Plans, and thenimplements and evaluates the effectiveness of the Respiratory CarePlan. He/she is required to deliver respiratory care services topatients in all areas of the hospital including critical careunits, telemetry, medical and surgical floors, emergent care areas,post-anesthesia care units, infant nurseries, labor and delivery,pediatrics, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and the home careenvironment. The RCP-R is expected to perform the duties andresponsibilities outlined with only minimal supervision and mustmake independent decisions.

Minimum Requirements:
Licensed by the NorthCarolina Respiratory Care Board as a Respiratory CarePractitioner.
Registered by the National Board for RespiratoryCare.
Current AHA BLS certification required.
