The PNRT RRTs is part of amarket based respiratory resource team that is assigned to varyingfacilities to ensure that patient care needs are met within theassigned market. These RRTs possess the skills, competency andqualifications, as well as a requirement to work in 5 or morelocations within a defined market: Greater Charlotte (GCM). Thisgroup shall be known as the Regional Resource Team•

Qualifications:

• Education:

  High School Diploma orGED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year /Bachelors Degree, preferred.

•

Licensure/Certification:

Current RCPlicensure in appropriate state. RRT required.

Responsibilities:

Itis the responsibility of every Novant Health team member to deliverthe most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, everytime.

• Acts as a patient advocate for the patient and theirsupport system by incorporating education in the interdisciplinarycare plan.
• Prioritize job duties according to patients’ needs andchanging acuity levels and ensures timely completion of careinterventions, medical orders, etc.
• Administers and evaluatesmedication therapies, performs patient transfers and transportspatients.
• Ability to evaluate patient needs and provideappropriate routine respiratory care such as ABGs, bronchialhygiene therapy, etc., as well as perform higher levels of care incritical care areas and emergent situations.
• Demonstratesindependence in the specialty of Respiratory Care. Practicesaccording to state requirements and standards.

Critical CareSpecific:

Ventilator management, code blue, airway management,interpretation and intervention with blood gas analysis, use of allrelated protocols for patient care.
