Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Ifyou are passionate about providing life-saving care to criticallyill children, join us as a Respiratory Therapist in the PediatricIntensive Care Unit (PICU). In this role, you will deliverspecialized respiratory support tailored to young patients withsevere respiratory conditions or injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess pediatric patients’ respiratory conditions and developindividualized treatment plans in collaboration with the PICU team.
Administer respiratory therapies such as mechanical ventilation,oxygen therapy, or aerosol medications as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor ventilator settings and adjust them as needed based onpatients’ responses and clinical conditions. Educate families onrespiratory care techniques and equipment use to support recoveryafter discharge from the PICU. Maintain detailed records oftreatments provided and patient progress throughout their PICUstay.
Work Environment:
The role is based in hospital PICUs whererespiratory therapists work closely with critically ill pediatricpatients requiring intensive care support. This position demandsquick decision-making skills and composure in high-pressuresituations while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
