Depending upon the facility, they perform intubations and inserta-lines. Qualifications:

Education:

2 Year / Associate Degree,required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Current RCP licensure in appropriatestate, required.

Responsibilities:

It is the responsibility ofevery Novant Health team member to deliver the most remarkablepatient experience in every dimension, every time. Acts as apatient advocate for the patient and their support system byincorporating education in the interdisciplinary care plan.

Prioritize job duties according to patients’ needs and changingacuity levels and ensures timely completion of care interventions,medical orders, etc. Administers and evaluates medicationtherapies, performs patient transfers and transports patients.

Ability to evaluate patient needs and provide appropriate routinerespiratory care such as ABGs, bronchial hygiene therapy, etc., aswell as perform higher levels of care in critical care areas andemergent situations. Demonstrates independence in the specialty ofRespiratory Care. Practices according to state requirements andstandards.

Critical Care Specific:

Ventilator management, codeblue, airway management, interpretation and intervention with bloodgas analysis, use of all related protocols for patient care. AtNovant Health, one of our core values is diversity and inclusion.
