Overview Novant Health seeks a full-time, days NICU Registered RespiratoryTherapist II (RRT) at Presbyterian Medical Center. Respiratory Therapists are eligible for a signing bonus up to$20,000 at qualifying locations. Relocation reimbursement up to$7,500 at qualifying locations. Our Registered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) serve as intricateleaders of the healthcare team by establishing an authenticpersonalized relationship with the patient and their supportsystem. Respiratory therapists practice under respiratory andventilator management protocols with a high degree of autonomy.
Depending upon the facility, they perform intubations and inserta-lines.
Qualifications Education:
2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year /Bachelors Degree, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current RCP licensure in appropriatestate, required. Responsibilities It is the responsibility of every Novant Health team member todeliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension,every time. Acts as a patient advocate for the patient and their supportsystem by incorporating education in the interdisciplinary careplan. Prioritize job duties according to patients’ needs and changingacuity levels and ensures timely completion of care interventions,medical orders, etc. Administers and evaluates medication therapies, performspatient transfers and transports patients. Ability to evaluate patient needs and provide appropriateroutine respiratory care such as ABGs, bronchial hygiene therapy,etc., as well as perform higher levels of care in critical careareas and emergent situations. Demonstrates independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care.
Practices according to state requirements and standards.
Critical Care Specific:
Ventilator management, code blue,airway management, interpretation and intervention with blood gasanalysis, use of all related protocols for patient care.
