Overview$7,500.00 sign on bonus.
Nights.3, 12 hourshifts.
Additional Administrative hours to make it a 40 hour workweek.
Develops, updates, and implements various policies andprocedures related to the practice of respiratory care. Plans andexecutes special projects.
ResponsibilitiesEnsures that quality ofcare provided by staff meets standards by direct observation andindividual instruction. Provides direct feedback to staff,including development of improvement plans.
Supervises the dailyoperations of the department and personnel. Assigns and overseeswork assignments.
Coordinates and provides instruction of staff,students, nurse, and medical residents in respiratory care theoryand practice. Develops in-service programs in conjunction with theadministrative director.
Participates in leadership meetings withthe administrative and medical directors. Leads small groupmeetings and inter-shift report. Assists in conflict resolutionbetween staff and disciplines.
Acts as a consultant for staff RCPs,RNs, and MDs regarding patient assessment and care plandevelopment.
Participates in the development of post hospitalizationdischarge planning for patients with high-level respiratory careneeds.
Utilizes competency in all specific areas of practiceincluding adults, pediatrics, and neonatal respiratorycare.
Evaluates and discusses new products and equipment with staffand sales representatives. Arranges for equipment in-services.
Keepsabreast of new developments in the field.
Performs other duties asrequired or assigned.
Qualifications5 years of experiencerequired.
Bachelor’s degree and supervisory experiencepreferred.
Required Licensure/Certifications•Respiratory CarePractitioner NH OR Temp RCP NH•BLS and ACLS within 180 days
