Job Summary:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist under thesupervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, TechnicalSupervisor, Shift Supervisors, provides and administers all aspectsof Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as stated inthe Department Policy and Procedure Manual. Essential Generic JobFunctions (List in order of importance):

• Providing respiratorytherapy under medical direction, in the education, treatment,management, & diagnostic evaluation and care of patients in thehospital with deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system
• Performing Intubation assistance as well as Ventilator set-up &management.
• Gathering all information necessary to properlyevaluate the patient’s needs, including patient specific diseaseeducation as well as testing and consultations with other healthcare professionals, as appropriate.
• Developing a rapport andmutual respect with the patient/caregiver, as well as team members,to foster an optimum environment in support of goal achievement
• Provides and documents education to patients/caregivers based uponidentified needs in an understandable manner.
• Other duties and/orprojects as assigned.
• Adheres to HMH Organizational competenciesand standards of behavior.
• Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes andpulls a minimum of 5 lbs. and stands a minimum of 1 hour a day

• 7:15 AM 3X12hr shifts

MUST HAVE ACTIVE NJLICENSE

(NO TEMP). Every other weekend required. Holidays required.13 Week Contract.
