Short DescriptionThe Supervisor is responsible for ensuring annualcompetencies/appraisals, required certifications, and ongoingcontinuing education for respiratory care practioners (RCP) undertheir direct report. Duties include daily supervision ofrespiratory care personnel, coordination of daily operations, andprofessional communication with the health care team to facilitatethe coordination of care across the continuum. Acts in the absentiaof the department manager or Director as needed. Supervisor isaccountable for expected knowledge, skills and competencies forneonate to geriatric patients. Responsible to organize staff workschedules, clinical rotations, and employee performanceevaluations. Supervise all shift activities relative to clinicalpractice and personnel. LI-CU1 Experience Required 5 Years Clinicalexperience and 2 Years of Critical experience. EducationRequirements Graduate of an CoARC approved registered respiratorytherapy program. Bachelor’s Degree required License/CertificationRequirements NJ State Respiratory Practitioner License (RCP).Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).Graduate of Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)accredited Respiratory Care program. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRPSpecial Requirements Specialty credentials preferred. Eg ACCS, NPS,AE-C, Trauma experience and neonatal care experience is preferred.
Working in a fast-paced environment and with a large teampreferred.
