Facility in Erie, PA Job Details Fusion Medical Staffingis seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a 13 week travelassignment in Erie, PA. Required Qualifications:

Oneyear of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory TherapistRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRCValid respiratory therapy license in compliance with stateregulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

PreferredQualifications:

ACLS or PALS Certification (AHA/ARC) Othercertifications and licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

A Registered Respiratory Therapist provides advancedrespiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders andcritical illnesses. They independently assess, treat, and managepatients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, includingthose in intensive care units and emergency situations. RRTs workcollaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to deliverlife-saving therapies and patient-centered care.

Essential WorkFunctions:

Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatmentplans Examine and interview patients with breathing and/orcardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests, such asmeasuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Treatpatients through various methods including chest physiotherapy andaerosol medications Set up and monitor equipment to ensure thepatient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correctrate Observe and record patient status and progress Workcollaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriatepatient care Educate patients and/or family members on how toproperly take medication and use equipment Perform other duties asassigned within the scope of RRT practice

Required EssentialSkills:

Critical thinking, service excellence and goodinterpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, &communicate in the English language is required Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

• Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
• To workeffectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able towork under close supervision occasionally as well as workingwithout assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contendwith irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuousconcentration to detail Sensory
