Job Details
Description
Performs Respiratory Therapy procedures including assessment, planning and implementation of therapy on the routine patient care floors and critical care areas. Performs emergent endotracheal intubations. Provides patient/family education related to respiratory therapy and airway management procedures. Serves as a resource for new technologies that have been implemented. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of RT or designee.
II – Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program. Licensed by the State of SC as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist with 3 years’ experience and competency in all areas of adult care. BLS certified. ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
III- Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program. Licensed by the State of SC as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Registered by the NBRC. Ability to function in 2 or more areas of specialized RT care or possess nationally recognized certification in critical care, neonatal/pediatric specialty, pulmonary functions, or asthma education. BLS certified. ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire. NRP required for therapists cross trained in the NICU.
