JOB SUMMARY
Provides quality therapeutic and diagnostic treatment to the patients under the direction of a physician; provide staff and family education; participate as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide an optimal continuity of care for our patients. The registered therapist must be able to exercise considerable independent judgment in the respiratory care of patients. This includes providing care for infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics based on knowledge of basic growth and development.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and/or experience: Must show completion of registry by National Board of Respiratory Care; licensure in State of Tennessee by Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners with Arterial Blood Gas Endorsement or Registry Eligible status with pre-determined interval to complete registry requirements (6 months maximum) One to two years of clinical experience in Respiratory Care Preferred. BLS required/ACLS preferred. Knowledge /
Skills:
Must possess necessary clinical skills to recognize the need to modify and adapt therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Abilities:
The ability to communicate and write clearly and logical decision making in a patient care situation. Must possess the ability to interact with patients and staff in a professional manner, evaluate and treat patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction, and communicate well verbally and in writing.
