Job Summary and QualificationsAs the Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsiblefor providing Cardiopulmonary care services in accordance withspecific physician orders, department policies and procedures. TheRespiratory Therapist administers respiratory care and life supportto patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of thecardiopulmonary system, performs diagnostic tests of thecardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in thediagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders. What you willdo in this role:

• You will deliver and assess responses to orderedtherapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapyand diagnostic procedures.
• You will utilize various types ofoxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks, tents andincubators.
• You will administer prescribed doses of medicinalgases and aerosol drugs.
• You will measure ventilatory volumes,pressures and blood gas analysis.
• You will monitor, record, andcommunicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment
• You will perform a variety of duties related to setting up,operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapyequipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced CardiacLife Spt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 months ofemployment start date
• Associate Degree
• Basic Cardiac LifeSupport, or CPR
• (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist, or(RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner must be obtainedwithin 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv LifeSupt, or Ped Emrg Assmt Recog Sta must be obtained within 60 monthsof employment start date TriStar Summit is a 230 bed comprehensivefacility.
