Job Summary and Qualifications As theRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible forproviding Cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specificphysician orders, department policies and procedures. The RRTadministers respiratory care and life support to patients withdeficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system,performs diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular and pulmonarysystem to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heartand lung disorders. What you will do in this role:

• Deliver andassess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care includingroutine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Utilizevarious types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such asmasks, tents and incubators.
• Administer prescribed doses ofmedicinal gases and aerosol drugs.
• Measure ventilatory volumes,pressures and blood gas analysis.
• Monitor, record, andcommunicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment
• Perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operating,cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt mustbe obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic CardiacLife Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment startdate
• TN (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner, orAssociate Degree, or Certificate
• 1 year experience highly desiredParkridge Medical Center is a 270 bed hospital.
