Under the guidance of the program preceptor, to allow the development of clinical skills consistent with the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of individuals with communications disorders (speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing) and application of knowledge gained from academic training. To refine clinical skills and evaluate individual clinical assets and liabilities.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communicative Disorders and completion of a clinical internship/externship. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION

Clinical fellowship (CF) registration with the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA) within sixty (60) days of hire date required.
