Jefferson, Blount and St. Clair countiesPosition Overview The Speech Therapist is responsible for thedelivery of quality patient care according to the patient’sindividual physician orders. Care may involve assessments,administering prescribed treatments and therapies, care planning,communication with other members of the patients’multi-disciplinary team, supply management, emergency management,coordination of care, health promotion and teaching and trainingfamily members. Essential Job Functions:
Provide Speech Therapyservices as prescribed by the physician. Follow policies andprocedures and conforms to all applicable patient care standards,licensure regulations and state laws. Provide a written evaluationdefining Speech Therapy needs, goals and expected outcomes inconjunction with referring physician’s Plan of Treatment. Provide awritten Plan of Care for Speech Therapy goals and outcomesMaintains the plan of care for assigned patients according toidentified Speech Therapy goals and outcomes. Participate incoordination of services (including discharge planning), withhealth care team, physicians, parent/guardians, nurses, and others.
Maintain patient and company confidentiality. Maintain effectivecommunication between staff, health care team members, and family.
Serves as a resource consultant for clinical staff. Providephysicians and Aveanna with written evaluation of patient’s needs,goals, and progress.

Requirements:
Master’s degreein Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA accreditedcollege/university Current and unrestricted SLP license to practicein the state of practice Current CPR certification
PreferredQualifications:
One (1) year of recent experience as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist in an acute care setting preffered HHH As anemployer accepting Medicare and Medicaid funds, employees mustcomply with all health-related requirements in all relevantjurisdictions, including required vaccinations and testing, subjectto exemptions for medical or religious reasons as appropriate.
