As an SLP, you will plan and provide speech-languagepathology services to students with speech, voice, or languagedisorders, You will also assess students and provide therapeuticintervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments thatinterfere with their students’ ability to derive full benefit fromthe educational program. This role offers the opportunity to workwith young learners in a supportive school environment while makinga lasting impact on their development. Bilingual is not arequirement, but is a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

Conductindependent evaluations to assess students with speech or languagedisorders and conditions and provide appropriate individual andgroup therapy to students consistent with speech and language goalscontained in Individual Education Plans (IEP). Develop clinicalmanagement strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements.

Consult with colleagues, students, and parents regarding theaccomplishment of therapy goals, the needs of the student, andinvolvement in remedial process. Develop and coordinate acontinuing evaluation of speech-language pathology services andmake changes based on the findings

Qualifications:

Master’s degreein speech-language pathology from an accredited college oruniversity Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologistgranted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech [1] LanguagePathology and Audiology (SBESLPA) Ability to use the accepted testsand measurements to assess communication disorders and conditionsKnowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation ofspeech-language disorders and conditions Ability to instruct andmanage student behavior Excellent organizational, communication,and interpersonal skills CCC’s required
