Job Description

Speech and Language Pathologist in Pell City, AL 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Pell City, AL 35125 Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 20252026 school year at a K-12 school in Pell City, AL. This contract position offers the chance to support students in developing their communication skills and achieving their academic goals in a collaborative educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide individualized therapy to students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintain detailed and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to student plans

Qualifications and Experience:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Alabama SLP license or eligibility for licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows will receive mentorship and support Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) with current Alabama licensure are also encouraged to apply Strong dedication to working with school-aged children and promoting their communication development
