Pay Info:

$5,000 Signon Bonus Administers speech and language evaluations, tests orexaminations to diagnose and plan treatments forclients/patients/residents with various speech problems andswallowing disorders. Assesses clients/patients/residents withvarious speech, language, cognitive or swallowing problems anddevelops individualized treatment plans based on clinicaldiagnoses. Provides speech and language services toclients/patients/residents; Instructs clients/patients/residents inpracticing speech and language therapeutic exercises; providesconsultation for clients/patients/residents working through speechand language treatment processes. Ensures all speech and languagerelated standards, policies, protocols and quality requirements aremet. Will demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmentalguidelines and meet all regulatory requirements. Demonstrates levelof treatment associated with their specialty provided to theirclients/patients/residents. Participates in activities to promotethe department, Good Samaritan Society and Sanford Health. May beasked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provideclient/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services. Will beexpected to provide ongoing education and training to peers in thearea(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership.

Based on assigned area, work may focus on those receivingintervention in the post-acute, long term care and home health careenvironments when applicable. Must be licensed in the state(s) ofpractice as Speech-Language Pathologist. When working at a SanfordHealth Facility (not required but preferred by GSS Facilities):

Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the AmericanSpeech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working onClinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
