  • Flexible spending and health savings accounts What you will doin this role: Play an important part in helping our patient to recover andfeel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximizespeech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor andother team members; assist with patient scheduling and post chargesdaily to patient records Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing,payer and accrediting requirements Instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-throughprograms Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and cleancondition Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company’sCode of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement,appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federallaws Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Graduate of a master’s level program in Speech LanguagePathology which is accredited by Education Standards Board or whosepractice meets ASHA certification requirements Meet the education and experience requirements forCertification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathologyor Audiology granted by ASHA Minimum of six months speech therapist / speech languagepathologist experience working with an adult and geriatricpopulation Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license inthe state where services are rendered Current CPR certification Strong organizational and communication skills Through ahistory of successful joint-venture partnerships and managementagreements, Lifepoint Rehabilitation works with hospitals to moreeffectively meet the needs of their patients, maintain employeesatisfaction and generate long-term quality outcomes for theirentire organization.
