Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide direct support services to students in K12 schools throughout Jacksonville, FL during the 20252026 school year. The SLPA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to implement speech-language programs, assist in therapy planning, and support communication development. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply and will be considered for enhanced compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy services as outlined in treatment plans designed by a supervising SLP Support the SLP with documentation, progress tracking, and therapy session preparation Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to reinforce student communication goals Maintain accurate and up-to-date service logs and records in accordance with district and state guidelines Assist with screenings and help identify students who may benefit from speech-language support Adapt and implement therapy materials to support diverse learning needs Promote inclusive practices and cultural responsiveness in service delivery Participate in required training and maintain compliance with professional and ethical standards
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in a speech-language pathology assistant program or related field Valid SLPA license or registration in the state of Florida Prior experience in a school setting is preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team Commitment to supporting student success across diverse learning environments
