Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Manager and according to the established policies and procedures, evaluates and treats pediatric patients (ages 2 through age 18) who are admitted to any pediatric unit within the Muma Children’s Hospital at
TGH:
NICU, PICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Mother/Baby Units or the Inpatient Rehab Program. The Pediatrics Speech-Language Pathologist plans and administers treatment programs to pediatric patients of all ages who may have deficits in the following areas: feeding, swallowing, speech-language, communication, cognition, voice. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology required Must have CCC-SLP Certification Licensure by the State of Florida as a Speech-Language Pathologist WeeFIM certification within 6 months (Training provided) Minimum of one (1) year experience with pediatric patients, ages 2-18, with complex medical conditions. Weekday availability required. Mandatory to work a minimum of 2, eight-hour weekend days per month Mandatory to work a holiday rotation
