Commensurate with experience Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic is seeking a full-time, salaried Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) for our Speech Therapy program. The successful candidate will be licensed in Florida with a minimum of one year of experience with pediatric and adult patients. Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic is the only non-profit therapy clinic in Indian River County, FL. We offer Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies for both adults and children in an interdisciplinary setting prioritizing the needs of the individual over the bottom line. Established in 1953, Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic has maintained a reputation of excellence for over 70 years, meeting the needs of individuals seeking therapy services regardless of their ability to pay. We accept most major medical insurances, Medicare, and Medicaid.
In this role, you work with other clinicians to treat patients with speech-language delays/disorders, swallowing/feeding difficulties, fluency and voice difficulties, cognitive-linguistic difficulties, etc. Experience with pediatrics, early childhood intervention, behavior analysis, and/or early childhood development is beneficial. You will work closely with patients and their families and must accurately document their current condition and progress. Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate referred patients using standardized assessments and informal assessment
- Create and implement individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with therapists across disciplines (OT, PT, etc.) to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor and document patient progress via daily treatment notes, supervisory visit notes, evaluation reports, etc
- Provide data and reports as needed for grants
- Supervise SLPA(s), CFY students, and students completing clinical rotations
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding speech therapy techniques and strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
