Responsibilities Prevent and treat Speech/language disorders for students. Providing treatment that is age-appropriate, based on learning needs of individual students using evidence-based practice. Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide direct speech and language therapy services to eligible students Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings, as needed Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals Participate in Response to Intervention (RtI) processes, providing support and data as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school, state, and federal regulations Qualifications Master’s degree or higher and a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with DOH Licensure from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association; or certification to practice speech language pathology in accordance with Ch.468, FL Statutes; or certification in another state with the ability to become certified in Florida within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a school-based setting Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Other Information Selected candidates will need to provide the following documents prior to hiring: Original transcripts of course work from college/university where highest degree was earned.
