Responsibilities:
Speech LanguagePathologistSummary:

Provide Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Therapyand related services for patients while maintaining positive levelsof interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with theprinciples and practices of Speech-Language Pathology therapy andwithin Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines. Provide quality patientcare including screening and evaluation of patients, development ofinitial and ongoing treatment plans of care, discharge plan, andcase management responsibilities. Maintain professional conductthat represents Reliant Rehabilitations commitment to quality andservice in all interactions with clients, including positive levelsof interaction and rapport with facilities and clients. Adhere toall state and federal regulations regarding speech-languagepathology therapy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Optimizecommunication, cognitive-linguistic abilities, and swallowingskills of patients by providing, directing, and/or overseeingspeech therapyBuild a strong Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)therapy programEnhance clinical expertise, professional andmanagement skills through interaction with managers, therapists andother professional staff, self-study, and other continuingeducation activities.

Maintain valid state license. Maintainawareness of issues related to the profession of speech-languagepathology therapy and the health care environment.

Understandsvarious relevant payment models related to billing and treatmentguidelines, as well as clinically appropriate means/modes ofdelivery. Provide quality care as well as reasonable goals andoutcomes within the guidelines.

Be compliant with infection controlprocedures and environmental safety protocol within afacilityAbility to read, write, speak, and comprehend in
