Job Description:
Assist Speech Language Pathologists in providing speech and language therapy services to students. Implement therapy plans and activities designed to improve students’ communication skills. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Monitor and document students’ progress, adjusting activities as necessary. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students’ communication needs. Maintain accurate records and reports of therapy sessions.
Education and Certification Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent. Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license in the state of Florida. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred. Previous experience in a school setting is a plus.
