Job Description

This opportunity is on site for a school located in Abbeville, South Carolina Monday to Friday; 7:45 AM to 3:00

PM Salary:

51,000 to 60,000 ; negotiable based on experience and degrees

Key Responsibilities:

Provide speech/language services based on student IEPs. Collaborate with staff to improve communication programs. Assess and diagnose speech/language disabilities. Develop and implement therapeutic programs based on IEP goals. Assist teachers in identifying and addressing speech/language concerns. Hold meetings with parents/guardians and staff to discuss student progress. Maintain accurate student records, including IEPs and service logs. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide screenings to identify potential speech/language disabilities. Participate in professional development and school meetings.

Additional Duties:

Supervise special education staff and assist with classroom management. Assist with other school duties as assigned (e.g., lunch duty, bus duty).

Skills:

Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to collaborate with school staff, parents, and students. Knowledge of speech therapy best practices and current research.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to read, write, hear, and speak effectively. Ability to occasionally lift to 25 pounds.
