Speech Language Pathologist Job Overview:
Oversee CFYs (Clinical Fellows), temporary licensees, students, and support staff, ensuring they follow state licensure rules and professional standards. Ensure the treatment schedule for patients is followed, including clinical documentation, billing, and attending necessary work-related meetings. Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing discussions, and other related meetings. Make referrals to other healthcare professionals or agencies to address the full range of the patient’s needs. Work with the rehab team and physicians to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on each patient’s needs. Adjust the care plan or program as needed to meet the specific needs of the patient.
Speech Language Pathologist Job Qualifications:
Active SLP license in state of practice. Must possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language-Hearing Associate on (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA clinical fellow. Must have a driver’s license or reliable transportation CPR/BLS certification. Previous Experience as SLP is preferred.
