Category Schools – SLP Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This role focuses on providing dedicated services to a diverse caseload within a Montessori Academy, emphasizing the unique needs of Pre-K through 6th-grade students.
Qualifications:
Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) Experience in pediatric speech therapy Proficient in teletherapy practices Previous work in educational settings preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and parents Strong organizational and communication skills
Location:
Kenner, LA Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose students’ speech and language needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of 50-55 students Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate learning Monitor student progress and adjust therapy as required Conduct meetings with parents and guardians to discuss student development Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions
