Category Schools – SLP Job Type Contract A K-12 educational institution in Metairie, LA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for a contract position spanning the full school year. This role focuses on providing comprehensive speech and language services to students across grade levels, supporting their communication development needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct speech, language, and hearing evaluations to assess individual student needs Develop and implement tailored speech therapy plans based on assessment results Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in accordance with regulatory standards Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting Monitor and adjust therapy approaches to optimize student outcomes

Qualifications:

Valid Speech-Language Pathology license with CCC certification Experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-12 Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with educational staff and families Ability to work independently and maintain organized caseload management
