Job Description
Position Title:
1.0 FTE Speech Language Pathologist
FLSA:
Exempt Reports to: Building Principal, Evaluation Team Supervisor and Director of Special Education
Terms of Employment:
184 day work year. Benefits and salary in accordance with the LEA Unit A collective bargaining agreement
August 25, 2025 start date. Unit A 25-26 Salary Range
Responsibilities:
Supports Instructional programming by providing speech/language therapy to students as required.
Schedules students into appropriate instructional groups
Provide therapeutic services in both the general education and Speech office to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and student needs
Performs diagnostic evaluations and implements treatment plans in relation to student needs
Consults and collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement effective therapy
Serves as a consultant to school staff members in the development of services
Participates in Team and parent meetings
Responsible for goal writing and occasionally serving as liaison for IEPs
Keep thorough records of the individual student receiving services
Assists with mobility, transitioning and personal care as needed
Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications & Physical Demands:
Must be DESE licensed as Speech Language Pathologist.
Must be willing and able to physically manage students if needed. Classroom experience and college degree required.
