Job Description
Benefits eligible, school-year position. Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist to provide evaluation services, direct intervention, and consultation services for students in grades 4-8. Understanding of Maine Special Education Law regarding Speech/Language Services is required. Experience in the completion of Speech Language Impairment Eligibility form. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provision of case management services to students identified under Speech/Language Impairment
- Writing IEPs given student needs based on evaluation data
- Providing direct services to students
- Providing consultation services for students to IEP team members, including special education and regular education teachers
- Participation on District-Wide Speech PLC team
- Participation on building-based PLC teams, including grade-level teams, special education teams, RtI teams as needed
- Direct consultation with outside Speech Therapy agencies
- Support of Students using AAC devices
- Billing MaineCare for speech sessions as required
