ECU HealthAbout ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECUHealth Medical CenterECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as acampus of ECU Health Medical Center. The 142-bed full-servicehospital is located in Washington and has earned nationaldesignation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bedemergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients peryear, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center – a providerof leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among othercancer services. ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medicaland surgical services, operative services, a women’s birthingcenter, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics.

PositionSummaryResponsible for administering diagnostic and habilitative/rehabilitative services to patients referred for services andmaintaining records pertinent to such services. Observes, evaluatesand documents diagnostic and treatment effects. Consults withsupervisor on all pertinent matters for program and professionaldevelopment (i.e. research projects, expansion of programs, recordkeeping, policies and procedures, etc.). Will also be involved inteam dynamics and participate in interdisciplinary activities whenappropriate.

Minimum RequirementsMaster’s degree in Speech LanguagePathology OR Master’s degree in Communication Science and Disordersis required.

Current Speech Language Pathology License issued by

NCBOESLPA

is required.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology awarded by ASHA is required, or must be obtainedwithin one year of hire.

Progressive and dynamic knowledge of SpeechLanguage Pathology and a willingness to participate in continuingeducation and training to remain current in the field. Ability towork with other healthcare professionals in a manner that willensure continued cooperative efforts.

Other InformationHybrid role.

PRN coverage during M-F in acute/outpatient settings, as well as toassist during our acute weekend rotation.
