As we expand our services to include speech therapy, we are excited to welcome a Speech Therapy Assistant who is passionate, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to program development alongside our experienced clinicians. We are looking to fill this position with a start date towards the end of summer/beginning of fall. Duties Provide one-on-one or small group speech-language services under the supervision and guidance of the SLP. Carry out individualized therapy plans and activities developed by the supervising SLP. Collect and document data on client performance and progress. Assist in preparing therapy materials and organizing session spaces. Collaborate with occupational therapists and other team members to ensure a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to care. Support the development of systems, materials, and workflows for the new speech therapy program. Participate in team meetings, parent consultations/education, and professional development opportunities. Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging therapy environment. Seeing clients either in clinic or in their homes in the Lexington area (mileage reimbursement available). Spanish speaking preferred but not required! Requirements Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or completion of an approved SLPA program. Current SLPA licensure/certification in the state of North Carolina. (Or currently in a program to obtain your licensure). Minimum of 6 months pediatric experience (preferred, not required) or a desire to work with the pediatric population. Strong organizational and communication skills. A team player with a growth mindset and passion for working with children and families. Experience collaborating with or in occupational therapy settings is a plus.
