ResponsibilitiesResponsible for working to prevent, assess,diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication,cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
Providesaural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard ofhearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication(AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/orlanguage comprehension disorders.
Other duties asassigned.
QualificationsCurrent, unencumbered license to practicespeech pathology specific to that state you are assigned towork.
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-LanguagePathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate course work and aclinical practicum at a college or university whose program isaccredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiologyand Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).Current CPRcertification.
PreferredOne (1+) year of experience in speechpathology.
Note:
If the SLP•CCC certification has not beenobtained the candidate must be put into the SLP Clinical Fellow(100910) job. Clinical Fellowship (CFY) is the transition betweenstudent and independent which involves an SLP supervisor, hourrequirements and mentoring.
