This opportunity is ideal for a qualified SLP with experience and clinical proficiency in an acute care setting who’s looking to make a meaningful impact while exploring the unique culture of Greenville.

Job Overview:

As a Speech Language Pathologist in the Acute Therapy setting, you will provide specialized therapeutic services, working with patients in acute care to evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders. The role involves a standard weekday schedule with a rotating weekend shift every fourth weekend. Time off is also built around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing impairments
Implement therapy sessions and track patient progress in compliance with hospital protocols
Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians and other therapists, to ensure coordinated patient care
Educate patients and families on strategies to manage and improve communication and swallowing abilities
Accurately document patient information and treatment progress

Requirements:

NC state licensure eligibility and ASHA certification required
Acute care experience required; not open to new graduates
Clinical proficiency in providing SLP services in acute therapy settings
Ability to work a rotating weekend schedule (1 in 4 full weekends)
