POSITION
Speech Language Pathologist•2025/26 School Year Opening
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist by the New Hampshire Office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience preferred but not required
REPORTS TO
Director of Student Services and/or Building Principals
JOB GOAL
The Speech Language Pathologist leads the process of speech language screening evaluation, educational program and planning, therapeutic intervention and exit planning for students (3•21 years old) identified with or suspected of having disabilities that interfere with their ability to perform daily life activities and/or participate in the education environment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct screenings consistent with federal and state Child Find requirements regarding children with disabilities
Complete diagnostic evaluations, analyze results and write and present reports for students referred through the special education or Section 504 process(es)
Participate in eligibility, initial, and annual IEP/504 meetings, RtI and other meetings as deemed appropriate by the Building Principal and/or Director of Special Services
Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 and RtI plans including recommending specific IEP goals, accommodations and modifications, and services for students who experience delays in their speech and/or language functioning
Provide direct services on an individual, small-group, or classroom basis to students identified with educational disabilities
Complete progress reports in a timely manner and according to district/school policy
Provide consultation and guidance to general education teachers, special education teachers and paraeducators
Maintain an inventory of materials, assessments, and therapy supplies
Be knowledgeable of best practices in speech language therapy as part of the continuing professional development process required for maintaining appropriate state/national licensure
Supervision of Speech Language Pathology Assistant(s) when required
Participate in the Medicaid to Schools billing program as appropriate

In accordance with the Conway Education Association (CEA) contract

EVALUATION
Performance of this will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of CEA’s Evaluation of Professional Personnel. The Director of Student Services or Building Principals will be the evaluator.
