Job Description
Category Schools – SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school setting in Buffalo, NY to provide specialized support during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This temporary contract role runs from July 7 to August 15, with part-time hours from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The position offers an opportunity to work with a mixed caseload, delivering targeted services that promote student communication and language development throughout the summer months.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services aligned with individual IEP goals Monitor and document student progress in accordance with school and district requirements Collaborate closely with special education staff, ESY teachers, and support personnel to ensure cohesive service delivery Maintain clear communication with families regarding student progress and any concerns Adhere to IDEA guidelines and district policies to ensure compliant service provision
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active New York State SLP license Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; applications from those in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) will be considered Previous experience in a school-based setting highly preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a small, mixed caseload independently
