Position Overview:

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treatingresidents with communication, cognitive-communication, andswallowing disorders. The ideal candidate is a compassionate,detail-oriented professional who thrives in a multidisciplinarysetting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment & Evaluation:

• Conductcomprehensive evaluations of patients’ communication, language, andswallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualizedtreatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Treatment &Therapy:

• Provide evidence-based therapy services to improve orrestore communication and swallowing functions.
• Monitor anddocument patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary

• Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with aninterdisciplinary team including nurses, occupational therapists,and physicians to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate staff,patients, and families on strategies to support communication andswallowing rehabilitation.

• Compliance & Documentation:

• Maintainaccurate records in accordance with facility policies andregulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to state and federalguidelines for patient care.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree inSpeech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Currentstate licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA ispreferred.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility,rehabilitation center, or related healthcare setting is highlydesirable.
