Job Description
Category Schools – SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide maternity leave coverage in a K-12 school setting. This role requires an SLP credentialed with CCC and offers a dynamic environment to support students’ communication and language development.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting evaluations, screenings, and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication skills. Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress. Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and assisting with related classroom activities as needed.
Qualifications:
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational or clinical setting. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage caseloads effectively while providing individualized attention. State licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP.
Location and Schedule:
Onsite position in Warwick, Rhode Island. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Starting in October for at least 12 weeks, covering maternity leave during the school year.
